Spring break!!!

Finally! we finally have spring break. Since I go to a private school we only get 1 week. (Usually it's two weeks but they gave us more days at Xmas this year) Kirsten and I had a picnic to celebrate. It's finally starting to warm up, and the days are longer too ;) We are able to walk outside and not be swept away by the wind, or get a shiver up our spines from the chill.

This spring break I hope to do some exploring. I'm planning to go to an Imax, a great picnic-type park and the museum. Not to mention the trails and playground that I like to bike to.

I've also been sewing again, hand sewing that is. I made a little going away present for Kirsten. (more to come on that ^.o )

And finally (!) I got out my camera and plan to start scrap booking soon. I started with my favorite toys and even took a little family photo. I got the Alice and mad hatter Lalaloopsy from a friend, I love them!!!!!

. . .Ouch

Yesterday I was playing Count Dracula Zombie Invasion on the bed, at Sasha's house, I prepared my minions while Sasha went and put on her Pj's and brushed her teeth. I started a training session for my Fuzzy wuzzies cuddly horrifyingly evil monster slaves! MUHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!
They were almost done they're training, I was preparing they're graduation ceremony when an invasion of killer Frankensteins started invading the base camp!! they were everywhere, My Minions fought a great battle.
Let me just note before you look at the next picture, this was already late at night and I was hyped up on sugar ( I LOVE sweets!) So I was less than prepared when the Enemy had Ariel forces! They blew past my army like it was a leaf on the ground and they were the wind.

My wo/men Landed with a 

THUNK!!!

My "GRANDE ARMEE"  was no more. I had no choice, I must abando-

oops, I forgot, We stopped playing Napoleon. . .After s/he abandoned her men at the battle of the Nile. . .

Sasha must have heard my epic defeat and came just in time too.

She didn't even look surprised either, She just sat down, sat me up and started bandaging my ankle, which I had completely skinned :o To make me feel better Sasha used her special Hello-Kitty band-aids, they helped a lot.

We called my mom, she was Kind of mad but she wasn't surprised either, But you should have seen the look on Sasha's' moms face! She treated my injury as though I decapitated. . my ankle! We had to reassure her that it was nothing a little ice couldn't heal. ^.o

Mom took me to the doctor the next morning. This is how it sorta played out: Walk-in clinic.

"So how are you doing Lanie? Does it hurt? can you move your toes for me?"

After he examined me he took my mom into the hall.

"how did you saw she did this?"

. . .

"I see"

Well. . . ............ be fine if......................... okay.

They came back in after a few minutes. 

"Lanie you should be fine, it's only a sprained ankle you should be fine. but no more-"

"SCHOOL?!" I asked eagerly.

"No more Running, Jumping or P.E."

"WHAT?! for how long?

"At least two weeks"

!!!

I almost fainted on the spot but I didn't want to make a scene.

Sleepover with sasha.

I decided to invite sasha over for a sleep-over. We had loads of fun, talking, telling stories and even traded candies, :P I love candy :)

We stayed up way too late but it was worth it, we watched a few really scary movies on my laptop, My favorite was "House on haunted hill" It's black and white and had vincent price in it! I love his movies! we also watched the "adams family" 1 and 2 and "clue"
We both jump at the scary parts and like to laugh at the phoney effects (We like the old school effects though, like the ones in "house on haunted hill")

I also got to hear a bit of what sashas' old school was like. She told me that she used to go to a tiny school where everyone knew each other, abut when she was halfway through 3rd grade, her dads' work made them move across the city to a HUGE school that she hated. She got decent grades but just didn't fit in, I felt sorry for her :( She thinks that is her parents jumped on the move to Canada. Apparently She has a cousin that her parents want her to visit or something. O.o

Best Saturday ever!

Today I've had the best Saturday ever! It started with a healthy breakfast, ^.o with Kirsten. It was very yummy.

After that we checked out the Retro re-wind big ticket movie, On Teletoon retro. This week it was "Scooby-doo on Zombie island" One of my favorites! So we spent the morning watching that. I love the part where the zombies come to life O.o
After The movie we found out a bit of exciting news and acted immediately. we mixed, stirred and bated until we got exactly what we wanted, then we broiled. Wondering what we were doing yet? We were baking a cake!

we through a little party for Annie, she loved it! We spent most of the afternoon playing with her.
At around 5:00pm I was called home for dinner. We had roast pork and potatoes, one of my favorites! After dinner I read "Really truly Ruthie" I'm almost finished it
And soon I will be tumbling off to dream land. . .

Snow! snow! snow!

More snow again today. We had another snow day today. I invited Gia over to play in the snow. It's to our knees! We went sledding and then baked some chocolate cookies. Which turned out great by the way. We were going to go outside after we baked cookies but unfortunatly the snow was starting to melt and our snow suits were very soggy. :P

New girl on the block.

New girl on the block

It was a nice, sunny day today so I went out for a walk. I went around the old miller pond and past the fallen tree. I was walking a pretty unknown trail so, as you can imagine, I was startled to see a young girl in the distance. She was wearing a pair of leggings that came to her knees, paired with a skirt, sleevless shirt and a rather thin looking jacket.

UH OH! She’s heading my way! I ducked into a bush and then up a tree. Between branches I could see her.

She looked about my age. Maybe a little younger . She didn’t look like she knew where she was going. . .but she didn’t look lost either. I stayed in the tree until she passed. Since I hadn’t made any plans for the day I decided to follow her. I tracked her down the trail a ways.

It's been rather rainy lately, so it didn't take long for the girl to slip on the muddy trail. Escpecially in those shoes. She looked sad and frustrated. Then She started to cry.

She told me her name was Sasha. She used to live in the Big city, but her father got a job opportunity that he couldn't turn down. We talked for awhile. That seemed to cheer her up. I showed her around some of my favorite hiding spots and some good hiking trails. She was kinda slow. But I don't blame her. I thought maybe she had really good grip shoes. but the soles were just flat. Good thing I took her on the flat-none muddy areas ^.o

She gave me her address and we promised to visit each other. as soon as she got settled in her new house.

Lazy dayz

We have less than a week left until school starts again. I don't really want to go back. Today I went for walk around town. I saw a really cool venue set-up. It gave me a great idea! That you'll hear about later. ^.o
Piper invited me out for tea and lunch, So I headed over to the cafe. It was very nice and Just what I needed.

I can't belive it's Christmas eve again.

You lucky bloggers getting two posts in one day. ^.o I just finished putting milk and cookies, along with my stocking, out by the fireplace. Just right. I wonder what I will get come tomorrow morning?

Kirsten and I have set up christmas camp sleepover! We've layed out our blankets and sleeping arrangements. Kirsten did my hair as you can see :P We plan to stake out and wait for good old Saint Nic. ^.o

So I was VERY bored and decided to do something worthwhile.

I Probably shouldn't have touched it but I couldn't resisit.

When she came to visit from school. . . She loved it!

Chalk it up

Kirsten, piper and I went outside around 4:30 and played with some chalk.(I was taking photos so I'm not in any)

later we went on the trampoline, we drew (Literally drew) a blanket and lied down. We snuck out the DS and played Pokemon black. It is so much fun, but then again, I LOVE Pokemon games.

 then we watched the clouds. Time passed so quickly! We were lying there for at least 30 minutes! Then we went to the old swing.
